Nordine Es-Sadki joined the UNU Maastricht Economic and Social Research and Training Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT) as a researcher in January 2011.

He will work on the European research projects INNO Grips and INNO Metrics in cooperation with Hugo Hollanders and Anthony Arundel.

The objective of "INNO-Metrics" is to provide innovation policy makers with statistical and economic analyses that will allow evaluating the characteristics and performances of national and regional innovation systems, as well as the impact an efficiency of national and European innovation policy measures.

"INNO-Grips" short for Global Review of Innovation Policy studies. INNO-Grips' objective is to support policy makers in adopting appropriate policy responses to emerging innovation needs, trends and phenomena. Es-Sadki works on the subject of social attitudes to innovation and entrepreneurship.The objective of this subject is to identify the effect of social attitudes to entrepreneurship and demand for innovative products on innovation outcomes in Europe and in other major economies.

Es-Sadki obtained his bachelor's degree in economics from Maastricht University in 2009. In 2010 he obtained his master degree in economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam with distinction (cum laude). He has been working part-time during his studies as a economics teacher at several secondary schools and currently works part-time at a lyceum in Maastricht.
