    This Policy Brief presents the findings of the Sustainable Land Management in the Pamir-Alai Mountains (PALM) project. It provides the reader with targeted recommendations, best practices and generic guidelines in the field of sustainable land management and ecosystem conservation for the High Pamir and Pamir-Alai mountain areas in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

    PALM is a project of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations University (UNU), which is the international executing agency.
