UNU is currently implementing a number of courses that are 100% online, self-study or blended (i.e., combining face-to-face classroom teaching with online learning).

openEd 2.0 Course: Business and Management Competencies in a Web 2.0 World

The openEd 2.0 course is free and open and targets business students and practitioners alike. The course consists of two strands: an academic and a professional practice based strand, though both strands can be taken together.

Online Master’s Degree in Development Management

The Master’s Programme is innovative in its linking of education and research on sustainable development with new information technologies, with a particular emphasis on online learning (e-learning pedagogy). Most of the teaching, instruction, tuition and supervision will take place on the Internet through the Fronter Learning Management System.

Open Source Training in Health Care

The UNU International Institute for Global Health is currently offering four online courses on Open Source Training in Health Care. These include the foundation course for the Open Source Training in Health Care where participants learn how to use Ubuntu as an alternative operating system and OpenOffice for daily routine tasks such as letter writing, slide presentation and spread sheet.

Diploma in Integrated Water Resources Management

The goal of this programme is to enhance national capacities for the development and implementation of sustainable water strategies in developing countries, at local, regional, sub-regional and basin scales. It is directed to practicing professionals in the water sector wishing to upgrade their knowledge of modern water management concepts and practices.
