Global Leadership Training Programme in Africa – Applications Open for Japanese Students

    Applications are now open for the UNU Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability Global Leadership Training Programme in Africa. This programme is offered to Japanese postgraduate students and develops global leaders who can contribute to solving various challenges in Africa. Successful applicants will undertake internships at partner universities and research institutions in Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Zambia. After gaining practical skills, knowledge and experience through their internships, participating students will present their experiences and lessons learned at a reporting workshop.

    Eligibility and Programme Duration

    Please note that this programme is only open to Japanese postgraduate students enrolled in colleges or universities in Japan. The programme enrollment and duration is:

    • 8 master’s degree students: 2–3 months
    • 2 doctoral degree students: 4–6 months

    The application deadline is 31 June 2014.
