April 25, 2012 Maastricht
The quantitative monitoring of globalization has gained interest in recent years. The time is ripe for a new collaborative initiative in this area, in order to take stock of the work that has been done so far, and identify the needs and directions to advance the measurement, monitoring and modeling of globalization.
UNU-CRIS, the University of Maastricht and the FWO-GRESI Network will convene an international workshop on “Measuring globalization”. In this workshop, to be held 22-23 November 2012 in Maastricht, conceptual, technical and data issues will be revised by a multi-disciplinary group of researchers.
The workshop organizers are seeking papers on the topic of measuring globalization. Two-page outlines of intended papers, together with a short CV of the authors, should be submitted by 1 June 2012. Full papers will be due by 31 October 2012.
For more information on the conference and how to submit a paper, please see the Call for Papers page on the UNU-CRIS website.
