The United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) and the Department of Geography of the University of Bonn (GIUB) are now accepting applications for the 2016 International Joint MSc Programme on “Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security”.
The programme provides a springboard for students who are interested in developing careers within international organisations, such as the UN. As part of the curriculum, students will complete a minimum of 8 weeks internship and write a master’s thesis in collaboration with partner institutions. This affords students the opportunity to participate in research projects and apply the knowledge they have obtained. Over the past year, students in this joint MSc programme have participated in research or project work in organisations located in more than 20 countries worldwide.
UNU-EHS and GIUB welcome applicants who possess a first, higher education qualification (bachelor’s degree) in geography or a related/comparable professionally certified study programme.
The programme has one intake per year; the next programme start will be in October 2016. The deadline for applications is 29 February 2016.
