
Ms. Kusakari has been working in the areas of sustainable rural livelihoods, human security and local capacity development mainly in African countries as practitioner, trainer and researcher. She joined the UNU Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA) as socio-economist in June 2009. The main fields of her research include: local capacities and sustainable rural livelihoods; vulnerability management (including the context of climate change); human security, peace and development. The geographic focus of her current research is Northern Ghana, which comprises the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions.
