Dr. Stephan Hülsmann has more than 10 years of research experience in aquatic ecology, combining fundamental research on food web interactions and lake management. At the United Nations University Vice-Rectorate in Europe (UNU-ViE) he is responsible for the establishment of the new UNU Institute of Integrated Management of Material Fluxes and of Resources (UNU-FLORES) in Dresden, Germany, and in Mozambique. He coordinates activities between UNU, Technische Universitat Dresden and partners from Africa, is involved in conceptual planning and the organization of workshops bringing together involved stakeholders.
