Ngeta Kabiri holds a PhD from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His research focus is on environmental politics. He has conducted fieldwork in areas of wildlife conservation, the recent land ‘grabs’ phenomenon and climate change governance. His fieldwork has been in Kenya and Tanzania, and lately, in Rwanda, Botswana and South Africa. At UNU-IAS, he will be pursuing research in environmental politics generally, but with special emphasis on climate change governance in the East African Community and the South African Development Community and Sustainable Development Goals.
