Prior to joining UNU, Neysa participated in an internship at GTZ Water Program Philippines, where she primarily focused on assessing the process of integrated water resources management at the national, meso- and micro-levels as well as assisting with related capacity building activities.
At the UNU Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS), Neysa is working as a Research Associate in the Vulnerability Assessment Section, where she is conducting research as well as supporting organizational tasks within the “Last-Mile – Evacuation” project. Her main focus of study is on local socio-economic vulnerability assessment in the context of tsunami early warning, evacuation planning and spatial planning in the city of Padang, Indonesia.
