Mohd Firhad Bin Ahmad successfully secured a place in one of the prestigious universities in Malaysia, the National University of Malaysia (UKM). After graduating from UKM in August 2009, he joined the UNU International Institute for Global Health in early 2010 as a Research Assistant under Prof. Dr. Jamal Hisham Hashim.
Currently, he is assisting Prof. Dr. Jamal and Ph.D. students on such research as:
- An Approach to Identify Risk of and Vulnerability to Dengue Fever and Chikungunya in Malaysia for the Purpose of Mitigation and Management
- Study of Coal Dust Dispersion at the TNB Jana Manjung Coal-Fired Power Station and its Health Impact on the Surrounding Community
- Study of School Environment and its Impact on Asthma, Allergy and Respiratory Symptoms among Secondary School Children in Penang, Malaysia
