    Biographical Statement

    Hossein Moshiri is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health since August 2011. Hossein earned his PhD in Health Economics in 2011 and was one of the pioneer graduates under UNU-IIGH and National University of  Malaysia (UKM) collaboration. Hossein’s PhD dissertation titled ‘ Impact of Casemix System on Efficiency of Teaching Hospitals in Malaysia’ had spurred him to continue his passion in the healthcare management as he is now actively working on a research related to the efficiency of healthcare. Hossein prior to his engagement with UNU-IIGH had spent years at the Social Security Organisation In Tehran – presented papers and published number of research articles and technical reports.  He had also published number of articles related to healthcare management during his PhD study. Hossein holds an M.A in Economics from Tabriz Azad University, Iran  and a B.A in Economic Science from Shiraz University, Iran.
