Biographical Statement

Dr Harleen Kaur who hails from India joined UNU-IIGH in December 2011 as a Research Fellow focusing on Information Technology in Healthcare.She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science on the topic of Applications and Social Impact of Data Mining techniques in Health care Management. She has previously taught in University of Delhi and Hamdard University, New Delhi, India. She researches broadly in Information Technology in healthcare, Knowledge Discovery as well as Data Mining and its applications.

She is currently involved in the research project on Building a Standard Nationwide Healthcare Knowledge Driven System, for better utilization of research in ICT and development of policy making in health care knowledge-driven system to improve the quality of life for many citizens in the developing countries.
