Guilherme Mendonça is a PhD candidate in Environment at Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ), Brazil. He holds a master’s degree in City Law, from Rio de Janeiro State University, where he studied the relationship between environmental law and cultural heritage law. He is a specialist in cultural heritage by the PEP/IPHAN – Brazilian Ministry of Culture and UNESCO. He also holds a degree in Law from Rio de Janeiro State University. He was lecturer in Environmental Law and Cultural Heritage at UERJ, Getulio Vargas Foundation, and Brazilian Bar Association in Rio de Janeiro. In addition to his academic background, he has work experience in both public and private sectors, as well as professional organizations and networks, such as the Cultural Heritage Committee of International Law Organization, Commission Environmental Law of Rio de Janeiro Brazilian Bar Association and U40 Youth Network on Cultural Diversity 2030, initiated by the German Commission for UNESCO.
