    Biographical Statement

    Friso den Hertog is professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business administration in Maastricht, as well as a professorial fellow at UNU Maastricht Economic and Social Research and Training Institute on Innovation and Technology.

    Since 1987, he has combined organisational research at Maastricht University, where he also teaches new product and business development, and consulting work. He is currently a partner at Altuïtion, a consultancy firm in Den Bosch, The Netherlands.

    He was previously based at the science policy department of the Dutch ministry of Education and Sciences and at Philips, as an internal consultant and organisation researcher. He studied organisation psychology at Leiden University and completed a Ph.D. on job design at Delft Technical University Delft.

    His main research areas are innovation and knowledge management, business development, and methods of organisation research.
