Biographical Statement
Fabrice Renaud has broad expertise in the fields of agronomy, soil science and pesticide fate modeling. He has worked on rural development projects in Namibia, where he mainly carried out farming system surveys, and in Thailand, where he worked on soil conservation projects. More recently, Fabrice was a lecturer at Cranfield University in the UK and was involved in pesticide fate research including pesticide fate modeling.
Fabrice has been with the UNU Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) since September 2004 and heads the Environmental Vulnerability and Energy Security Section. He is responsible for developing concepts and projects dealing with the environmental dimension of vulnerability, water pollution, land degradation and energy security, which also represent his main research foci. He supervises Ph.D. scholars and is involved in capacity development activities both in academia and in training seminars and workshops.
