Danielle Resnick, Research Fellow at the UNU World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER), she is a political scientist whose research focuses on the political economy of development, urban poverty and informality, social movements, local governance, and comparative democratization, with a regional specialization in sub-Saharan Africa. She has conducted fieldwork in a number of countries, including Botswana, Burkina Faso, Senegal, and Zambia. Danielle previously worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute and in the World Bank’s Independent Evaluation Group. She holds a PhD in political science from Cornell University.
