Biographical Statement

During her studies at her home university and the University of Copenhagen, she focused on human security, climate change and environmental law. Her master’s degree thesis was concerned with the subsidisation of biodiesel and resulting trade conflicts.

At the UNU Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS), Claudia Bach is a Research Associate in the KIBEX project on the vulnerability of critical infrastructure and civil protection to climate change related extreme weather events.  She further contributes to research in the area of cities adapting to climate change.
