
Ahmed Amara joined UNU-IIGH in 2010 as Assistant to the Project Manager of the Megascience Framework for Sustained National Development 2011-2050- Health and Medicine Sector. He is currently a Research Assistant in a project to profile refugee health issues in Malaysia. He is also a part-time student pursuing a Masters in International Health at Charite´ Medical University, Berlin. Amara had worked with the pharmaceutical regulatory body in Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman for several years. Prior to that, he was a practising pharmacist in Sudan and UAE. In addition to Arabic and English, he also speaks German. Amara holds a B.Sc (Honors) in Pharmacy from the University of Khartoum and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Public Health (DTMPH) from Charite´ Medical University.
