Adriana van Cruysen is a researcher at the UNU Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT).

She is presently involved in projects related to organizational change, the European Innovation Scoreboard and the role of demand in creativity and innovation. Moreover, she has been involved with the CIS- 2008 project, field testing CIS questions and interviewing policy makers on different occasions; the re-evaluation of the EIS (European Innovation Scoreboard) and consequent changes in methodology; research in innovation services and in indicators for the knowledge based economy. She has a master's degree in business administration from the University of North of Florida in the United States and is presently writing her thesis for a Master of Philosophy in Business Research at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. She also teaches in several international programmes in the area.
