Chiho Kamiyama is a Researcher with the “ES-Tradeoff: Tradeoff Analysis and Local Governance of Satoyama” project of UNU-IAS. She received her PhD in Life Science from Tohoku University, Japan. Prior to joining UNU-IAS, she worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow at Tohoku University Ecosystem Adaptability Global COE and The Institute of Statistical Mathematics (ISM). At UNU-IAS, she conducts research about building local governance through synergy and tradeoff analysis of ecosystem services in satoyama landscape (Japanese socio-ecological production landscape) in Noto peninsula. Her other research interest involves biodiversity conservation, mechanism of species coexistence, and the interface between science and policy.
