    Biographical Statement

    Al-abed holds a MPH from National University of Malaysia specializing in Epidemiology & Biostatistics. His field research was on Esophageal Cancer and its associated risk factors in Yemen. He is currently a PhD candidate in Family Health at National University of Malaysia studying risk factors associated with unintentional child injuries at home.

    Before joining the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH) as a PhD Fellow, he was involved in projects pertaining to Costing, Cost Effective Analysis and Case-Mix studies at UNU-IIGH. During his work at the Ministry of Health (Yemen), he received a Diploma in Health Management from the WHO office-Yemen in 2007.
