A lunch lecture by Dr. Jan Vandemoortele, “The Quest for a Post-2015 Agenda that is Unfit for Purpose”, will take place at the UNU-CRIS premises, Potterierei 72 in Bruges, on 14 October 2013.
This lecture is being organized by UNU-CRIS, Vereniging voor Verenigde Naties and Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies.
Dr. Vandemoortele has served in various capacities with the United Nations for over 30 years, both at headquarters and in the field (with UNICEF, UNDP, ILO and on loan to the World Bank). His last position was as UN Resident and Humanitarian Co-ordinator to Pakistan. He is a co-architect of the Millennium Development Goals. He now reads, writes and speaks at international conferences and universities, and is member of various advisory groups, including to the UN Secretary-General.
