The Open Source Hospital Information Systems Development Workshop will be held from 21 to 25 October 2013 at the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health. The 5-day programme will consist of lectures, intensive discussion sessions, hands-on programming session and site visits. The language of instruction for the workshop is English.
The main purpose of the workshop is to equip healthcare professionals working in a hospital information system environment with a fundamental knowledge of the concepts and components of open source hospital information systems. It also aims to promote awareness of open source hospital information systems advantages and benefits, to empower participants in recognizing the potential of open source hospital information systems, and to develop competent healthcare professionals who will be able to manage and develop their respective open source hospital information systems.
