Susan Watt is a Professor of Social Work with a specialization in social work practice in health care and health policy. She is also the Associate Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences. Dr. Watt’s research focuses on the relationship between social factors and health status and service utilization by systematically disadvantaged groups. Most recently she has worked on issues related to the health status and service utilization of mothers and newborn infants during the first month following delivery. She also works on issues of aging and the integration of gerontological content into professional education curricula and on interdisciplinary community-based education.
