Dr. Samia Satti Osman Mohamed Nour is a Visiting Research Fellow (and former Ph.D. Fellow) at the United Nations University, Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT). She is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Khartoum University in Sudan (currently on sabbatical leave). She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Maastricht University, a M.Sc. and a B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Economics, both from Khartoum University. She is currently pursuing postdoctoral research at UNU-MERIT, School of Business and Economics, Maastricht University, focused on macroeconomic growth and sustainable development, as well as development economics, labour economics, human capital development and endogenous growth in developing countries. A third area of interest concerns the relationships between technological change and endogenous growth in developing countries.
