Michael Zissener works as a research assistant at the United Nations Institute for Environment and Human Security since 2008 and has recently graduated as Diplom-Geograph (graduate geographer) at the University of Bonn. At the United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) in Bonn, Germany, he is involved in the Munich Climate Insurance Initiative (MCII). MCII concentrates on influencing the UNFCCC climate change negotiation process by exploring innovative solutions that combine disaster risk reduction and insurance tools to help people in developing countries better adapt to climate change.
