UNU-EHS, in close collaboration with the University of the Free State Disaster Management Training and Education Centre for Africa (UFS-DiMTEC), invites MSc students and practitioners to apply and participate in a PhD block course on “Vulnerability and Disaster Risk Reduction”.
The overall goal of the course is to increase the awareness regarding the complexity and importance of vulnerability and resilience in the field of disaster risk management.
- Course syllabus
The course will run for eight days, from 28 January to 5 February 2013 at the Provincial Disaster Management Centre in Cape Town, South Africa.
The application deadline is 14 January 2013.
