UNU carries out its work in co-operation with research institutions, international organizations and individual scholars and scientists throughout the world. UNU employs both full-time and part-time personnel not only at its headquarters in Tokyo but at UNU institutes and offices across the globe.
Typically, ”general service” staff positions are recruited locally at the duty station, through vacancy announcements placed in the local press or posted on the duty-station website. “Professional” staff generally are recruited internationally through advertisements placed in specialized international journals and vacancy announcements posted here on the main UNU website.Other vacancies (Personnel Service Agreement or contractor positions) may be recruited either locally or internationally, depending on the nature and requirements of the job.
If you are interested in working for UNU, you may wish to regularly monitor the vacancy announcements posted on the Available Positions page of this website or on the website of the individual UNU institutes.
Please note that UNU will only consider applications that are sent in response to a currently advertised vacancy.
