UNU receives no funds from the regular budget of the United Nations. The University’s financial support comes entirely from voluntary contributions made by governments, agencies, international organizations, foundations and other donors, as well as from investment income.

The Finance department oversees the receipt of these contributions, the income derived from the endowment fund, and management of operational financial matters and accounting.
